Sprint Dual-Touchscreen Smartphone

Sprint has recently launched a dual-touchscreen Smartphone, Kyocera Echo, which is having two 3.5-inch touchscreens. It is the first dual touchscreen Smartphone that allows us to do different tasks on each of two screens. The screens are connected by a sliding liquid-metal hinge and can be view side by side. The two screens are able to run two applications concurrently. For example, you can check your email on one screen while watching the video on the second screen or you can play a game on the one screen while surfing the Internet on the other screen.

Kyocera Echo is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and running on an Android v2.2 operating system, Froyo. The two 3.5-inch screens is having a 480 x 800 touchscreen display, which is also having the capability to be combined into one screen. When two screens are blended, the single 4.7-inch screen gives a 960 x 800 touchscreen display.

Kyocera Echo will be available for $199.99 with a two-year contract in spring. However, the Smartphone supports only 3G networks; it does not support 4G wireless network. The idea behind developing the Echo is really good; it takes the features and coolness of tablet and combines it with the mobility of Smartphone.

HTC EVO 4G

HTC EVO 4G, also called as HTC Supersonic, was released in the end of the second quarter of the year 2010 and is the first 4G Smartphone on the nation’s first 4G network, Sprint. It is powered by the 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8650 processor and running on an Android 2.2.1 operating system. The recent update has made EVO 4G even more powerful Smartphone. The mobile hotspot feature of HTC EVO 4G gives you an instant access for up to five wireless-enabled mobile devices.
